Disclaimer
Last updated: 2025
The information, calculators, examples, articles and other content provided on quickcalc.co.za (the "Site") are made available on an "as is" and "as available" basis, free of charge, and are provided for general information and educational purposes only.
1. No professional advice
Nothing on the Site constitutes financial, legal, tax, accounting, investment, real-estate or professional advice, and no fiduciary or advisor relationship is created by your use of the Site. Before making any financial or legal decision, you must consult a suitably qualified professional in the relevant discipline — for example, a registered financial services provider, an admitted attorney, a SAICA- or SAIPA-registered accountant, or a SARS-registered tax practitioner — who can consider your specific circumstances.
2. Estimates only
Every calculator on the Site produces estimates based on the inputs you provide and the formulas we have implemented. Results do not reflect individual credit assessments, discretionary lender pricing, monthly admin or service fees, life or homeowner's insurance premiums, initiation fees, promotional rebates or any other factor that a bank, insurer or SARS may add to (or deduct from) a real-world figure. Your actual instalment, tax liability or return may differ materially.
3. Regulatory and rate changes
Statutory figures used by our calculators — such as the South African VAT rate, the SARS transfer duty brackets, National Credit Act rate caps and the prime lending rate — change from time to time. We update our calculators as promptly as we can once a change is gazetted, but you should always confirm current figures with SARS, the South African Reserve Bank or the relevant regulator before relying on a result.
4. Third-party information
Where the Site references third-party rates, tariffs or products (banks, Eskom, municipalities, bond originators, etc.), that information is provided for illustrative purposes only, may become out of date and is not endorsed by the third party. Confirm all figures directly with the relevant provider before contracting.
5. No warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by law, QuickCalc disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including any warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuickCalc, its owners, contributors and licensors will not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense (including direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages) arising from or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, any calculator, article or other content on the Site.
7. External links
The Site may link to external websites for convenience. Those websites are outside our control and we accept no responsibility for their content, policies or availability.
8. Corrections
If you believe a calculator, example or article contains an error, please email corrections@quickcalc.co.za with a link to the page and a description of the issue. We prioritise verified corrections.
9. Governing law
This disclaimer is governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Read alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
